Below you can find computers recommended by Biology Computer Support for incoming biology students. Biology can be computationally intensive, so generally it is recommended that students have a machine with an i5 or i7 CPU or better, 32GB of RAM or better, and a 1TB SSD storage drive.

Desktop:

Dell Tower Desktop. Configure with i5 or i7 CPU, 32GB or greater RAM, and 1tb or greater SSD.

Laptop:

Dell XPS 14. Configure with 32GB RAM, and 1TB or greater SSD.
