Host: Dr. Kathryn Jones, Department of Biological Science, FSU. FSU MS and PhD alumnus in Biology, later patent attorney specializing in biotech.

Thursday, November 13 – Thursday, November 13, 3:30 pm – 3:30 pm, 1024 KIN—BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE COLLOQUIUM AND YERGER LECTURE, "Plant-soil interactions: hidden ecology at your feet," Dr. Jean Burns, Case Western Reserve University. Host: Dr. Thomas Miller, Department of Biological Science, FSU. Refreshments will be provided at 3:15pm.

Friday, November 14 – Friday, November 14, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm, KIN Lobby / Atrium—BIOLOGOCAL SCIENCES DEPARTMENT AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS Come enjoy lunch and fellowship any time you are able to stop by. We will have a slide show recognizing all winners of awards and honors running through the whole event, allowing us to appreciate our many departmental achievements while sharing a meal and conversation.Department members who have a noteworthy extra-departmental award or achievement, please contact April Wooten by November 12, so it can be included in the slideshow.

Friday, November 14 – Friday, November 14, 3:00 pm – 3:00 pm, KLB courtyard and BSIR facility—BSIR OPEN HOUSE The Biological Science Imaging Resource (BSIR) invites you to an Open House to celebrate our recent renovations and showcase the newest additions to our imaging facilities, including the Thermo Fisher Glacios Cryo-EM and Aquilos FIB-SEM systems. Join us for refreshments in the courtyard outside of KLB, then tour the upgraded space and instruments.
