Configuring TCP3270 to connect to NWRDC
- Download TCP3270.zip and ww_dlls.zip.
- Unzip these two items into separate folders.
- Move the folder containing the unzipped contents of TCP3270 to C:\Program Files(x86) if the folder or C:\Program Files if the folder does not exist.
- If using Windows 7: Put the files that were unzipped from ww_dlls.zip into C:\Windows.
- If using Windows XP: Put the files that were unzipped from ww_dlls.zip into C:\windows\system32.
- Now go to C:\Program Files(x86)\TCP3270\PROGRAMS and run TN3270.EXE.
- Under the IP Host/Gateway box type "NWALT.FSU.EDU" and press connect
- Resize window to desired size.
- Go to "Options->Save Profile", check the "save current fond and window position" box and press save.
- Go to "Options->Save Profile" again, type NWRDC into the box, check the box again, and press save.
- Go one last time to "Options->Save Profile" and press the "Save and create Program Icon" button.
- Click on "Accessories" and press create.
- Find the shortcut that was created (it should be called NWRDC) in a folder that just opened or can be found in the start menu. Drag it to your desktop.
- Now opening the shortcut should connect you directly to NWRDC.
