Developed with funding from the NSF (ESI-9819431), The Science Inquiry for Teachers program engaged teachers in scientific research and an in-depth study of what that meant for their teaching practice. Over the past several years, over 120 elementary-, middle-, and high-school teachers participated in the Science Inquiry for Teachers Program. This RET was designed with the assumption that a research experience offered in tandom with reflection on the teaching of inquiry is essential for teachers to internalize the multiple aspects of inquiry.

This professional development program is no longer available. Analysis of the data collected regarding any impacts to teachers practice or beliefs continues. Information about the research connected to the Science Inquiry for Teacher Program can be found here
