YSP Participants

 

Participants in Florida State University's Young Scholars Program (YSP) are gifted and high-achieving students chosen from Florida's high schools and invited to attend the program

 

On average our thirty-six participants come from twenty-three Florida counties. Approximately twenty percent of the particpants come from rural counties.

 

Many of the students who participate go on to some very prestigious colleges. Of the 165 past participants responding to an academic survey, more than 5 participants have attended:

Cal Tech, Duke, Univeristy of Florida, Florida State University,

Georgia Tech, Harvard, MIT, and University of Miami

Between 2 and 5 participants have attended:

Boston University, Cornell, Emory, Princeton,

Stanford, Stetson, Univeristy of Central Florida,

University of North Carolina, and Vanderbilt
