Alexa Warwick is a third year PhD student at Florida State. Her research interests are in the realm of conservation genetics and phylogeography. She uses methods from these two fields, as well as acoustic call and morphometric data, to address the evolutionary history and contemporary conservation of the Pine Barrens treefrog (Hyla andersonii) across the eastern United States. Alexa’s undergraduate work at the University of Northern Iowa investigated the phylogeography of fiddler crabs on the Atlantic and Gulf coasts of North America.
