Host: Dr, Joseph Travis, Department of Biological Science, Florida State University. Sarah is an interdisciplinary scholar whose scientific research is directed toward sustainable management of ocean ecosystems and the ecosystem services, like fisheries, on which people rely. Her work includes a pathbreaking paper on quantifying the ecological consequences of marine protected areas and the development of an optimization model for analyzing the economic and environmental trade-offs in three different kinds of offshore aquaculture.
