Prospective Graduate Student Information
The Department offers both Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Biological Science.
All students admitted to the program are offered full financial support.
Research specializations ranging from ecology and evolution to molecular and cellular biology are available for graduate study.
Over 40 faculty and 100 graduate students in the program.
The graduate program is divided into three areas, Cell and Molecular Biology,
Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and Neuroscience.
Before applying students should carefully examine the research specializations of the faculty and identify
faculty labs in which they would like to study. In addition to applying, students are strongly encouraged to contact faculty directly.
Application Date for Fall Admission: December 15th, 2012
Applications completed by Dec 15th are guaranteed to receive full consideration for admission and departmental support. There are also a limited number of prestigous scholarships and training grant opportunities available for student support.
