The Florida State University and Mote Marine Laboratory The Seventh William R. and Lenore Mote International Symposium in Fisheries Ecology

Symposium Location The symposium will be held at the Mote Marine Laboratory, 1600 Ken Thompson Parkway, Sarasota, Florida. Hotel and Travel Reservations Flights can be arranged through your preferred travel agent or through Adventures in Travel here in Tallahassee. Although you can fly directly into the Sarasota-Bradenton airport, travel is more economical into the Tampa International Airport, 30 miles away. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Lido Beach Resort, 700 Benjamin Franklin Drive, Sarasota, Florida 34236 (telephone, 800-441-2113 or 941-388-2161; fax, 941-388-3175). Please be certain to specify that you are attending the FSU-Mote Fisheries Conference when making your reservations. The conference room rate is $127.00 plus tax per night ("deluxe guest room," single or double occupancy). Those choosing more expensive room options will need to cover the extra costs themselves. The $400 registration fee (waived for invited speakers) includes continental breakfasts, an early-check-in reception on 10 November at the Lido Beach Resort, a reception on 11 November, and a dinner banquet at the Mote laboratory on 13 November, during which the Young Investigator Awards will be given for the best talk and best poster. Per diem for invited speakers is provided only for meals not included in the program.
