Papers by Invited Speakers

The period for abstract submission has passed.

A limited number of contributed papers will be included in the symposium proceedings, to be published in the Bulletin of Marine Science. If you wish your contributed paper to be considered for inclusion, you must submit the completed manuscript no later than 13 November 2008. The manuscript content must be relevant to the symposium topic. Please follow the format instructions of Bulletin of Marine Science," available at http://www.rsmas.miami.edu/bms/instructions.html, with one exception: Please submit your manuscript as an MS Word file rather than in PDF. The few to be published will be chosen on the basis of peer review from among those submitted.

Contributed Posters

The deadline for submission of poster abstracts is 1 May 2008.

Posters may be up to 36 inches tall and 48 inches wide. They will be displayed on sheets of foam-core poster board mounted on easels. Note that the poster boards, easels, pins, tape, and spray adhesive will be supplied at the symposium location. If your poster requires other means of mounting, please bring the necessary supplies with you.

Very few electrical outlets will be available, so if your display requires one, please let us know right away.

Posters will be on display in a classroom near the talk venue throughout the symposium. They will be moved by symposium staff to the Mote Aquarium for the poster-session reception and for the banquet. Poster titles and authors will be announced during the appropriate symposium session and time allotted during the day for interaction between poster authors and other participants.

Posters by young investigators are particularly encouraged. An award will be given for the best poster by a young investigator. Papers based on posters can also be considered for inclusion in the symposium proceedings. Submission deadline and format are the same as those for contributed papers.
