2008 in the FSU Biological Science History project

2008 In the Department of Biological Science at Florida State University (updated 24 April 2009)

In the spring of 2008, the Department of Biological Science vacated Conradi Building and moved into the James E. "Jim" King Jr. Life Sciences Building, at 319 Stadium Drive, immediately south of the College of Medicine. The department still doesn't all fit into one building—it still occupies all of Biology Unit I, part of Carothers, part of the Kasha Laboratory Building, and part of the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, but all of the department's administration has been brought together in one place.

On March 4, Dr. Joel C. Trexler, who received his Ph.D. at FSU in 1986 (Advisor, Joseph Travis), delivered the third Yerger Lecture, the first event to be held in the new King Building auditorium.
