1995 In the Department of Biological Science at Florida State University (updated 23 April 2009)

A short article entitled "A rising profile in fisheries science" in the summer 1995 issue of FSU Research in Review announced the endowment by William R. Mote (Founder of Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota, Florida) of the William R. and Lenore Mote Eminent Scholar Chair in Fisheries Science and the foundation of FSU's Institute for Fishery Resource Ecology, coordinated by Biological Science Associate Scholar/Scientist Felicia C. Coleman.
