Using the Poster Printer


Poster Printer

Steps to creating a poster using power point.

  1. Choose File->Page Setup. Change width to 48, change height to 36.

  2. Create your poster.

  3. Choose File-Print. The print dialog box appears. Click the down arrow next to Printer Name and choose the HP Design Jet 750C.

  4. Click the Properties button. Change orientation to landscape. Make sure paper source is set to 36 roll. Make sure no scaling is selected.

  5. Click the more sizes button. Check the oversize check box. Type in 48 in the width (top) box and 36 in the height box. Click the OK button.

  6. Choose the Options tab. Make sure that Paper type is set to coated paper and that Quality is set to best. Click the Ok button.

  7. Make sure the 750C printer says Ready. Click the Ok button. Your poster prints.

 

Notes:

  • Max page width in PowerPoint is 56. Make sure and set the width in step 5 to the same value as the page width you use in PowerPoint (step 1).

  • Use the color wheel on the cork board and the color wheel under Format->Color->More Colors to choose your colors. This will result in you getting the colors you expect.

  • If poster does not print, cancel print job, turn off printer, turn on printer and resend print job.
